I didn’t know what to think before I started this book. I didn’t go to see the movie and when I finally decided to go, i was told by a friend to read the book first because it was better. So i did just that. This book was so good and had a lot of hidden humor.  I am a very imaginative reader so the entire time i read I was able to see everything. The characters were so true to that time and the dialects were spot on. It was over all a good story with a believable plot. Im glad I read it. Now I want to see how they did on the movie. I would recommend this book to anyone. – Norman LaVelle
