Book Review – “Hope to Die” (Alex Cross #22)

Hope to die“This book left off one week after the last book ended with Dr. Alex Cross’s family kidnap buy the psychopathic killer Thierry Mulch. The killer promises to deliver one dead body after another until he feel that Dr. Cross has learned his lesson. Meanwhile Alex is unraveling, trying to decide if he should abandon his morals and commit crimes just to appease the killer or continue to have faith that he will see his family again, hunt down this killer and bring him to justice. As Mulch’s plan it’s starting to be revealed to the reader it becomes more and more apparent that he is clearly psychotic and will stop at nothing to make sure the Dr. Cross feels his wrath. I don’t want to go any further because I don’t want to spoil the book for you. Just trust me when I say you are in for one hell of a thrill ride; murder, deceit, plot twists, mystery and a lot of mental anguish. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did and I look forward to what’s next for Dr. Alex Cross.” – Norman LaVelle
